Raleigh Garbage Disposal Ban

Hard to believe I spoke with a lady who’s family is considering making a move to Raleigh from Vegas a couple days ago and they had heard about our garbage disposal ban. She actually questioned me on the whole garbage disposal issue. At first I just sort of chuckled and made some trite comment. But then after we hung up I got to thinking who else out there may have heard about

So today’s blog is for anyone out there who has their move to Raleigh on hold because they may not be able to have a garbage disposal if they move here…

City Hall has council members are embarking on a heated debate on whether or not disposals in new homes will be outlawed. The ban also means you cannot replace a broken disposal with a new one in an existing home. This is real honest to goodness politics!

How did all this get started? It all come about because of our drought situation… (which by the way it’s rained here for the last couple of days - continuously) So maybe in due time the garbage disposal debate will get washed out as well.

We’ll just have to wait and see…
